full and nicely round on the concentrated mid-palate underpinned by dense but fine tannins with more obvious depth and length

This is at once very fresh and very ripe with its liqueur-like aromas of plum

but Chiara and Giorgio Boschis clearly brought out all the best the vineyard had to give

it’s not clear whether this will ultimately harmonize

Here it is the interplay of exuberance and vibrancy that is totally captivating. The 2004 is intense, structured and destined to provide exceptional drinking for another decade plus.
